About StyleeAvenue

A Carolina house for women who dress with intention.

StyleeAvenue began as August Chesnes’s private closet practice on Breeden Street — fittings, fabric, and the question of what a woman actually needs for the week she is living. The house now designs and edits ready-to-wear with that same standard: fewer pieces, better cloth, a silhouette that holds.

We still see clients in Bennettsville. We still write fit notes by hand. And we still believe clothing should earn its hanger.

  • Cloth first Silk, merino, wool, and linen chosen for drape and years — not a single season of photographs.
  • Fit without theatre Size guides written from real measurements, with exchanges that do not punish a guess.
  • A house, not a drop Collections are edited, not flooded. If it is on the rack, it is meant to stay in the wardrobe.

The Aurora slip is the only black-tie piece I own that still feels like me. Packaging, fit notes, and the Breeden Street pickup option made it feel like a real house.

I ordered the camel coat after a fitting email with their team. It arrived steamed, with a handwritten size card. This is how womenswear should be sold.

The trousers actually fit a long waist. I used the size guide, kept my usual size, and did not need the exchange — which they still make very easy.
